But it has torque and thats what make you go. And I dont want dual VVT-i for the power, just for the fuel efficiency

From the PDF attachment: "Cigarette lighter/ashtray has been deleted"

    What the hell?

I don't smoke but use the 12-volt power source for other things all the time. Yes, I know there's a second 12-volt port, but I commonly need BOTH to charge phones/computers/GPS simultaneously. There's another advantage to having TWO 12-volt ports. If one fails (i.e. fuse blows out) the other still works.

More and more, I get the impression Toyota (and/or the Japanese) are out of touch with the American market.

I would assume they will just have 2 non cigarette ports in there

Maybe it's an American market thing , cause we have lots of diesel vehicles up here

just to add to the whole leather in the 4runner thing, there are lots of them out there with aftermarket/port leather. When she ordered her first one with leather thats what showed up. She refused it and went elsewhere that understood that she wanted the premium package with factory leather. There is a HUGE difference.

I argue it has almost nothing to do with power, and everything to do with paying $6,500 (40%) more for the TDI version.

Plenty of gas powered Civics have sold with 10-20 hp more than the Bluemotion diesel in the US within the past 20 years. Plenty of cars with less horsepower sold fine in the 1980s.

    It's not the power.

I would be curious to see the numbers the 4.6 with the 6 speed auto gave the tacoma. Especially one like mine that is 1k over stock weight.

Not exactly, I would just like to see which set up is best suited for a lifted, armored tacoma. If the 4.0 won out id go with it.

People who are concerned about mileage are begging for a more fuel efficient Tacoma (redesign), or a more efficient V6, or a diesel engine option. There are plenty of us begging for that, probably more people begging for that than there are people begging for a V8.

Wow, looks like they are fixing the things I hate about my 2010:

    - Crappy cloth door armrest
    - Cheap silver console/dash trim
    - Light grey carpet (gets dirty too easy)
    - Cloth seats

Perhaps the manual will now be available in the 4x4 DC longbed? Don't know if that's what a-suffix means...but that'd be nice.

I may strongly consider getting a 2012 in this case...

Relentless front aluminum bumper. Le Devil Horns (_)

I would agree, and I have an ATO HC rear wrap around bumper, full OME set up (heavy as hell Dakar leaf packs) and 33 BGF ATs. When I do gun it ( rarely) she really takes off considering some of the extra weight she has on her. I just can't wait till the Relentless front bumper and sliders come it. :)

My average MPG is 17-18... :/
