Tire rub fix

So would you folks suggest trimming on the inner fender or spacing out the wheels a bit?

It only rubs 80% and up turned to the left, not a huge deal right now but I have a feeling when I get new rubber it will be.

 

Where is it rubbing? What size tire/wheel are you running? Lift?

I have a 3" suspension lift and have 33x12.50 tires. It was rubbing the frame and fender slightly. I added 1" spacers which solved the frame problem, but it rubbed the fenders even worse than before. There was then lots of trimming of plastic and massaging of the pinch weld area with a sledge hammer. All is good now I think.

 

Stock... running 265/75-15

It only rubs the plastic that is inside the fender, I have a feeling when I put some tires on with more meat it will be worse.

 

I've got 285/75-16s on American Racing rims and a 3" lift and have no problems with rubbing. Put a little lift on it. You can buy the coil spacer lifts pretty cheap and most diy's can get it done in a few hours.

 

If it only rubs the plastic, then just trim. When you hit the frame rail then you need spacers
