    Anyone in Socal have an extra modem that works with Charter Internet? Im sick of paying $10 a month and I've bought 2 modems off craigslist that dont work :( Lemme know please

    Did u call Charter and give them the MAC address from the back/bottom of the modem? If not then thats most likely why it didnt work.

    I think I have a DLink cable modem that I used when I had Charter, just have to look for it. I also have a DLink wireless a,b,g,N router

    Is it a Cable or DSL modem? If cable, I have a Linksys (pre-Cisco) DOCSIS 2 cable modem sitting in my garage. I used to replace my leased Comcast modem a few years back.

    It only does cable internet, not phone/TV etc.

    you can have it for the price if shipping if it would work for you.

    stupid question but....... did you make sure all your light switches that control the outlets are on? I accidently flipped a switch off and returned 2 modems that I thought were bad only because they werent getting power.

    lol yea i gave Charter the MAC address and everything, but the power button of the craigslist modem kept flashing and not staying lit. I researched it and it says flashing power means shitty modem.

    Cable modems dont require drivers, only if u connect it directly to your computer via usb (which 99% of people never do)
