Sway bar disconnect?

    Just a bunch of old crap
    Not worth the risk. Take the extra 10 minutes to unbolt the supports and just drop it out. 1/2 hour of work to save you tons of $$ and grief.

    x2. I took mine off a month ago and have been very pleased. Hardly any noticeable difference in body roll

    Just a bunch of old crap
    Had mine off for about 2 months as well. I put it back on after getting my plate bumper and winch installed because I was topping out the passenger side tire into the wheel well during big bumps due to the amount of travel I had on that side. The driver's side never hit because I had the top plate spacer in to compensate for the taco lean. I'll probably take it back off again once I put on stiffer springs in a couple months.

    There's pix around here somewhere of a 2nd gen punctured CV boot from a sway bar that was disconnected but not removed...

    Take it off.

    I just took my sway bar off and driving around town at a reasonable pace its tough to even notice a difference. I think my threshold for taking it off would be about 10/90% for off/onroad.

    If you think about leaving it off for highway driving, please go someplace safe and try several maneuvers such as sudden avoidance maneuvers (like trying to whip around a cone in your lane and right back into your lane) and sudden hard stops while turning or attempting to avoid an obstacle.

    You should know what it's going to handle like in an emergency without the sway bar if you're going to be driving it that way on-road.

    yup mine wont be going back on ever and i drive 600+ miles a week on the highway avg speed 80mph....offroad=whenever i can....i love it off, alil lean on backroads but also much smoother

    is there any concern with the length of our brake lines or ABS? I'm running King shocks...

    I used to have a Land Rover and any extended travel required longer brake lines.
