what wheels are you running...whats their backspacing? or what he said^

cuz im sure you will need the right backspacing to fit the tires...i wouldnt know what that is for a 6" lift with 35s..but id imagine the info is somewhere on here.

I have this lift and love it. pro-comp stage I, with Nitto trails. No vibes at all. But..

    Couple things...

First thing, 17's are the minimum size for that lift. Make sure you have the correct bs on your wheels. ( 4.5 )

Second, be prepared to do some trimming in the wheel wells. Also, even after trimming, my 35's still rub the sway bar at almost full turn.

Third, expect a very harsh ride. The ES 9000 shocks + the AAL make it very stiff in the rear. Airing down the tires helps somewhat.

Fourth, without re-gearing expect a huge low-end power loss. My truck constantly downshifts even at cruising speeds.

This lift will allow them to align your truck to factory spec. Big plus.

All this aside, I am very happy with my 6" lift. Good luck and congrats on your new purchase

True, but if op goes with the pro-comp package it'll be a rough ride. I put 4 50lb bags of sand behind axel to help. LOL

I definately plan on regearing aswell as adding trac bar. Helo maxx 6 blacks come with a 4.53 or 5.71 backspacing in 17x9 for our lug pattern. Im fairly sure i have the 4.53 backspacing because my rims are almost even with my fender wells. Sound about right?

My XD's are 9 in wide with 4.5 bs and are about even with stock flares. You sound like you're in the clear. You can always measure from behind the wheel to make sure.

I know how you must be feeling right now...I was so f'n stoked when I got my lift.
I was also pleasantly suprised to see my truck was higher than I had thought, The 35's add a little height on top of the lift. :D

My truck has a pro comp 6" and ive been pretty please with it so far. my question is to eveybody who says "dont". what are your reasons not to? instead of just saying "dont" maybe you could help this guy out as to WHY NOT. details, examples, better options help alot more than just saying not to. isnt that what these forums are all about anyways is gaining knowledge so we can make our own informed decisions.
