Help: Price Quote, Good or Bad? Talk to me!

I have two dealers in San Diego telling me their best offer on a 2011 Taco, OR, DC, with the Off-road package (rear locker, ATRAC, etc.) is $30553, supposedly $500 below their invoice (I know this invoice isn't their true dealer cost...).

One dealer said they want my business, but couldn't discount it more than original dealer who quoted me this price.

What say you all? Good price? Bad price? Continue shopping?

 

What is the MSRP on it?

 

I believe $32-33000.

 

Is that a pre-runner or 4x4? I think that's a pretty good price if it's a 4x4 but I'd hold firm and get them down to $30000.

 

Sounds about right, I got mine the other day:
2011 DC, 4x4, Off-Road Extra Value w/ JBL, Tow Package, floor mats with an initial quote of $30,830

This was from Vacaville Toyota in Northern CA.

i have 2011 DC,4x4 Off road Extra value with JBL, tow package and all weather mats as well.

anyone with a 2011 not get the net thats supposed to go in the middle console? i got the net that goes above the sub in the back but nothing in the middle console, is that missing?

I have a choice of Silver or White... leaning towards white, as I will be trading in a silver car... something different, ya know?!

If I get this, be prepared for a crap load of questions, folks... it will be my first truck and first 4x4...

Other things to "check out" or look for on the truck? And/or are there any little goodies (ex.: flashlight, first aid kit, portable tire inflator, etc) that should come with it?

If the dealer is serious about not being able to knock down the price any further make sure you get some swag! I got a free hat and a couple of full tanks of gas, made me happy even if it wasn't much. Obviously once your sitting in front of him you should be able to haggle a little more.

Coincidentally, I'm also in the market for a similar vehicle.

I'm trying to get a black double cab 6 speed manual 4x4 with the TRD off road package and JBL audio. It does not appear to have any within 300 mile of where I'm located (washington DC). So I might have to buy one out west and ship it here. I was quoted a similar price by a couple of dealers. It seems that around $30,000 is the going price for that combination.

 

got a trade in i see? try and get more out of it if they don't come down on the yota. may have more room to play with on the trade in than that offer on the new truck. thats what i did on mine...said they could take it out of truck or give me more on trade in, but i wasn't buying the truck until they came down to xxx price.
