^ but when doing back you are already tiring your biceps, so when thrown in after back they will already be worked out so you don't need to do as much to really finish a solid work out.

    Same with tri's after chest.

sure, you'll work you biceps when doing some back excercises and they will get a little pump, but if you are getting your bi's super jacked and giving them a "workout" when your working your back then your doing it wrong.

when doing a back excercise and your arms are doing the majority of the work it is both wrong and ineffective

    this.

If you're doing an "exercise" (which is meant to specifically target a muscle) and you're not specifically targeting the muscle...then by definition, you are doing it "wrong."

your hands during a back workout should be just like hooks, you shouldn't be pulling with the arms.

So are you guys saying to do chest and tricep in the same workout and back and bicep in the same? Or opposite? Don't do chest tri or back bi?

Just depends on the exercise, like with compound exercises (bench pressing) if you are trying to get your bench press up you should work your chest first. If you do your triceps prior to the chest work out it can result in a decrease amount of weight you can lift.

This is on triceps and chest days when I work out

Ok thanks guys. Normally I'll do 3 sets of pull ups. Then 3 or 4 more back exercises. Then maybe 4 bicep exercises.

For chest I do flat incline decline flys dips and about 2 or 3 tricep exercises?

That ok? I'm starting to get regular at the gym so I want to start right. I see progress in my back and chest. But my upper arms, tricep and bicep seem to grow super slow.

That seems like an awful lot of volume to me. Personally I only do 1 back 'width' exercise and 1 back 'thickness' exercise per session; 2 chest, 2 shoulder, etc. I also change the exercises and order every training session.

However, I only end up doing 12-15 working reps for each exercise, so YMMV.

I've sone them a few times. I do them every now and then. I'll also do the one where you get one dumbbell and sit and lift it up and down behind your head. Then I do some rope pulldown stuff.

I'm genetically gifted with chest, arms, and back. However, I still treat them like I do quads, no mercy. Chest: incline, flat, db flys, cable press, fst7 peck deck

Biceps: straight bar curls, db curls, preacher curls, cable curls

Triceps: Pushdowns, close grip bench press, skull crushers, dips, over head single db raises

Back: pull-ups, pull downs (wide), rows, close grip pull down, single arm cable pulls

I work quick and leave 30-45sec rest. I do, however, superset a lot to keep that fat in constant burning mode :)

Biceps are gonna get somewhat of a workout no matter what if you doing back. Not enough to burn the next day usually, but you still are using them.

Lat pulls down use biceps, deadlifs too, rows and chinups also do.

thats the thing.. your biceps should not be getting really type of work out while doing back. thats just poor form if they are

of the excercises you listed the only on that really "works" the bicep muscle is chin ups, obviously. the other excercises all your arms should be doing is "holding" the weight, they should not be "moving" the weight.
