I really like the attatudes on this forum. Everyone helps, in some way or another. No bashing of people. I find it usefull to share me knowledge, and to vent about the antics in my life. I have met some Great people on TTORA. But I have made Friends on here.

I joined TTORA back in '07 and have learned more on that site than I have anywhere else on the internet. Hell back when I joined I had absolutely zero tech knowledge. I don't really think the flaming over there is near as bad as people say it is.

Great thing about TW is that it seems to attract people from all the other Toyota boards. TTORA, TN, CT, YT and XRU. Usually a pretty friendly place, no bullshit on here like some other forums (aside from the epic V8 swap thread a few months back)

wow...3 pages. Well, back to ttora..I am a member there, but i rarely post. I only go there to look for parts, or to sell shit. After getting lauged at, and called a mall crawler with my old 4runner(since it was on 3" blocks and cranked tbars) it wasnt worth the hassle. Matter of fact, my "mall crawler" probably saw more hardcore wheelin then most of those idiots over there. Enough..end rant..lol

Up until recently, I had 2 vehicles. An 02 Tacoma and an 06 Legacy. I am a member of TacomaWorld.com and a member of LegacyGT.com. I no longer have the Tacoma, but I still visit TW daily for hours and hours and hours. I rarely visit the Legacy site.

Like everyone has said before. People are friendly, helpful and a have great sense of humor.
Thanks for recognizing Rob's work with WATTORA. I'm pretty active there as well. I rarely hit up the national board, even though I've been there since 2003 and more so as a lurker.

[IMG] Hi Molly! We met briefly over on the "What do you look like thread". So WELCOME again, and let me say, the pleasure is all mine! If you look to your left just under my middle finger, (I look really young for my age I know), you'll see I've only been around for a month. I am a member of www.yamahamotorcycleforum.com and www.mybikeforums.com, where I have post counts in the thousands. I've enjoyed my time on these forums, so after I bought my latest truck, a 2008 PreRunner DC TRD Sport at Thanksgiving, I thought, "huh, I wonder if there is a forum dedicated to the Tacoma?" Did a google search and found a few, (we all know them!). I registered and spent about a week on these other forums before visiting TW. I'm not knocking the other sites entirely. I mean yeah, I can do a search and find a lot of useful information, but IMHO, the crowd is a little "dull". Who wants to spend they're leisure time in a stuffy forum? Not me.

On the contrary, the people here are like, as one member has in his sig, "one big crazy disfunctional family". As soon as I registered and started posting, I immediately felt welcomed and a "part of". The Mods and Admins, best I can tell so far, are laid back. Everyone treats each other with respect. The crowd here doesn't have it's collective sphincter locked so tight that they're easily offended. There is a wealth of information about Tacomas and life in general.

So with this said, I can't even remember the last time I logged into the others. I now spent about 90% of my forum time here and the other 10% on my bikes forums. I wouldn't have imagined that a bunch of Tacoma freaks who be more interesting that my motorcycle crowd, but they are!

I'll close by saying that you sound very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Tacoma and will be a great addition to this party! What took ya so long??? [IMG] [IMG]
