    yea that was me. there is a little metal shield inside the light houseing blocking the bulb from shining forward. the sheild makes it only reflect off the back and then out front.

    I cut the little shield off with a dremmel and it made them shine a lot further. I wouldnt hesitate to buy them again if I needed more. The only thing is you have to rig up your own wiring harness...but you have to with most lights anyways, the wires that it comes with are kinda short

    EDIT: I thought you were talking about the harbor frieght lights :eek:

    any one have problems with HId kits in the fj's housing? my friend go a set from slim cubby and they jiggle like crazy!!

    the bulb? or the ballast?
    if his bulb jiggles, tell him to make sure that both sides of the retainer clip are engaged/in the grooved slots on the headlight housing.Willing to bet both sides are not set in place. hopefully thats his problem :thumbsup:

    I have the DDM 35w 3500k and it is solid...as far as fitment goes.
    customer service is pure shit though.Been through 3 wire harness' so far. :bananadead:
