    for my truck since its so light, think 1 3/4 .120 hrew would be okay for caging it?
    dont you think dom would be way overkill for such a small/light truck?

    and the only think that makes hrew weaker is the seam right? and that they weld across.

    discuss....

    Go back one page. Sort of discussed while talking about an HREW bumper. I would do AT LEAST dom and 1.75" .120 wall minimum for a roll cage. Its your life

    True but a heavy truck should use 2"x .120 wall. Score says over 4k pounds you need 2". Both should use DOM. Score does not allow HREW for any roll cage

    Dom is cold rolled steel. They do a different process in making it which makes it stronger. Using a manual tube bender you can tell the difference between mild steel and dom.

    He uses USA hrew. Which is pretty hard to find around here for me. Most of the metal shop by me gets the steel from India or Korea.
