Man, I really want to do this. I just dont know about the camping part. I dont have any gear down here for camping. I could get a little inflatable mattress and put it in the back of my truck. I do have that compressor to fill it up if I have to..

DAMN YOU GUYS. LoL The Hardest part is that its a 2 1/2 hour drive each way to the meeting point.

Also, is there a quicker way out if I have to leave in a hurry or will it take another 4 hours of wheeling to get out of there? My job makes it neccissary for me to be able to be on a plane headed around the world with just a few hours notice.

Just a bunch of old crap
Just take the "front" way out and you'll be on the I-17 in less than an hour. From there, it depends on where you live in the valley but you should only be another hour from there to home unless you live in the far east or south parts.

Not everyone is camping, either. A few folks are making the trail run and then heading home. It just gave an option for those people who didn't feel like doing the 4x4 run and then having to make the long trip home.

True. You could be at Sky Harbor in 2 hours from the campsite actually (with a little speed of course :))

Most likely I will. I have a 3 day weekend. If anything I will camp overnight and then head out the next morning. Screw staying in a hotel, if I have to I jsut sleep in my truck, jsut as comfortable. LoL

I need to put my skid plates on that came yesterday and pick up a few things but I will most likely be there!

Yep, that was jsut because I ended up getting dead tired and the road conditions were bad right in the middle of that monsoon.

I have no problem sleeping in bad conditions like my car or anything like that. I have done it on a lot of road trip and it works fine. Its cheaper than a hotel, I can watch after my stuff, its more comfortable than some of the cheaper hotel beds, and its more comfortable than a caot, rack, or ground that I slept on in the military!!!

I will probably try to pick up a small air mattress. I have my portable compressor that will fill it quickly so it should be easy.

Dont know if I will have a grill or not but I am sure I can make a fire and cook a hotdog on a stick or piggy back onto someone elses grill if need be.

Just bring your shelter, sleeping essentials and food/drink. There should be plenty of grills/stoves and hopefully fire-making capabilities depending on fire conditions that weekend. I will have at least one propane stove with me, and I'm sure others will have some, too.

It will cost you 3 buckets of KFC chicken, one Donald Duck rechargable Flashlight, a He-Man Pez dispencer, and 3 naked pictures of B. Arthur. If you can come up with those, you're in!!!

I wont bore him with work but we are going on a tacoma wheeling expidition and he does make much needed parts for said tacoma wheeling expiditions so its to be expected that some questions will come up about his wares at some point. And in all honesty if it drums up more business for him I am sure he wont mind the conversations.

On a side note, I got my ALL-PRO skid plates in. Got my IFS and tranny skid plates in. I am going to do my crossmember skid plate install tomorrow. I am having to do my install laying on the hot pavement of my hotel parking lot and sweat my ass and back off while sliding under the truck with basic hand tools. It sucks but its getting done.
