    I wanna get some opinions:

I'm looking at getting the BMF M80s but their website says that you have to at least get the/a leveling kit with them. It is a 2.25 inch leveling kit so do I need to get new shocks also? Is the 5" backspace going to cause problems for me? I have looked up backspacing and offset but I guess I'm just an idiot because I don't completely understand it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you're going to hate your ride if you go with the leveling kit. if you need a small lift, bilstein 5100s all around is a very good choice. as for backspacing, most guys are running 4.5 i think

you don't have to, you could just an add-a-leaf and leave the stock shock in there

You don't need a leveling kit to run those wheels. Wheel selection has absolutely nothing to do with suspension height.

The 5" backspacing will make it a little tight if you want torun 285s, but if you are sticking to 265s, you are good to go.

Thanks KPT! I have had Jeeps that I have changed wheels on and done lifts but this is the first Taco that I am customizing and I was wondering why the BMF website said a lift or leveling kit was required with their wheels! I still may get the 5100s to level out the front though, so should I or do I need to do something to the back also to do it right. It is just a 2wd so I'm not looking to get crazy with lift.

For the back it really depends on whether you want to lift front and back, or just level the front. You could do 5100s at 0.85" with nothing in the back and be pretty level.
