I thought of doing something like that to the Mazda but then I decided I should sell it to get a truck, so I've stopped modding until I'm 100% that I can't get a truck...right now I'm at a 25%.

this is why I just don't mess with lighting inside...unless it's as simple as twist, pull, replace, push, twist, you're done!

So I got a 6x6 LED light for my 02 tacoma, and the first night i put it in it worked fine. Then when I came out the next morning the car smelled like burnt plastic and neither the LED or original lightbulb would work. For some reason the lightbulb works when switched on but not when switched to the door relay.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    UPDATE:

I also bought the festoon (6led) LED that fits directly into the overhead dome light bulb socket, but although it has the interesting white LED light, it is much dimmer than this set up.

The ebay 48 LED is the way to go if you want a bright LED interior light.

Hint: If it fits loosely in the sockets, just pinch the socket flanges/arms together and the fuse should fit in fine.
