    ^Thank you.

So I spent the day making it drivable. Gear oil front and rear. Put the rest of the new belts on, driveshafts, shifters, retorqued everything I could think of and touch just to be on the safe side. My old battery leaked out the top covers from the last trip out to Pismo assuming from all the bouncing around. So, I picked up a new Optima 34R red top and installed that as well. Still running without blinkers, hood, fenders or bumper, but it was enought for an actual test drive.

Get in the truck and start it...shit...see my first problem. I put a note on my steering wheel to bleed the rear brakes. When I pulled the rear axles/differential off, I had to disconnect the hard lines from the brake wheel cylinder. Turn the truck off, recruit my mom for a quick task, and ready to go again. Glad I made myself a note.

Damnit! I clicked submit. Oh well...continued from above.

Test drive attempt number two. Start backing up and notice another problem. Brake light stuck on. Check the ebrake handle, no problem. Check the ebrake cable, also no problem. Look at the master cylinder and the fluid level was just at the low level. Add fluid and lights off.

Finally, test drive 3. I'm driving.....on all 6 cylinders.....and not behind a tow truck. :woot:

I decided to take a test drive over to Autozone to pick up the axles for the LT. Once it warmed up, I womped on it. No bueno. Misfiring like a MFer under boost. Limped the rest of the way over to Autozone and intentionally didn't boost. Made sure 4 high/low and elocker all still worked...they do.

Get back home and realized I made a complete rookie mistake. I never even looked at the spark plugs in the motor I got. Pulled the plugs and they were the factory plugs, half Denso, half NGK, and they seen better days. I had an old set of Denso Ik24's in my drawer-o-shit. They are a step cooler than I run, but it was worth a shot. Changed plugs, gave it another test drive and lookout!!! That was the supercharged machine I was used too.

I just ordered a brand new set of Denso IK22's from Amazon. I'll hook up the URD kit when I get the new plugs and get the rest of the 30-40 ponies I'm currently missing.

All in all, I can say that the resurrection is complete. Now it's on to redemption..........

    see Build page for details.

I'm glad to hear that every hiccup of the install was easily solvable and nothing major. :)

    Thanks guys.

Me too! I'm thinking about just rolling into work on monday as is. No hood, fenders or bumper. :D

Maybe I'll put the hood on tomorrow, but fenders are staying off. Need room to work under there for the LT.

And for some of the other boxes of new stuff. We all know this one. Mounted on a new black grill

    New blacked out headlights/side markers:

And I had to take a picture of this. I needed the space in the garage. This sat here for two days. I'm sure my neighbors just love me. Reminds me of a "you know you're a redneck when....."

Well not anymore. My boys wanted thier tire swing back and apparently daddy was borrowing it too long. They never play on the damn thing anymore but the minute its gone they want to play on it again. :p

I guess every kid should have a Pro Comp Xterrain 305x65x17 tire swing!

It has 3 eye bolts drilled through the side wall and holes drilled in the bottom so water doesn't accumulate. Unless you just wanna swing on it, I don't think this is the right tire for you ;)

It was the best one we got on camera. With the new suspension I'll be going bigger :D

Yes...yes it does. The skinny pedal was burried and I never let up.

Hahaha! I swear I thought you were going to rip the handle right off the door. I put some locktight on the bolts and tighted it up. Ready for round two?

And quick note. I've been doing little short trips with the truck yesterday and today. I need to break the new gears in gently apparently. Anyhow I think I got al the kinks out of the truck. Had some weird ABS issue when coming to a slow stop which turned out to just be dirty abs sensors. It's all back together except for the fenders. Leaving those off for now.

Coilovers get here Tuesday. LT begins Thursday.

    Someone's trollin. :D

I think Jerry realized if he goes SAS, he'll be in a different league and none of us can follow him anymore. That I gave him a great deal on my front setup + trade for some welding work.

LOL! I'm equal opportunity. I hate everyone equally. But Jerry's pretty damn handy when it comes to welding and I needed the help.
