    Hi Everyone,

Just found this website today while looking for a 4x4 Tacoma on Google. I'm glad I did find it with all the info on here im sure I'll find my truck soon. I live in So Cal Temecula(Dirt bike capital of the world)so I'm finding more trucks here then most of you seem to be, but I haven't found the right one. I'm looking for a 1995-2002 4x4 auto Tacoma with a Extra-cap+ for around 5k. If you can help point me in the right direction I would appreciate it much.

    Dude

Just bought my truck I'll post picks later. I took a chance because the guy had no idea what was up with the truck. His friend gave it to him before he left California and he had no paperwork for it. Basically the only thing he had was the pink and keys. So I was able to get him down to 2k. thing runs strong hopefully it just needs a alignment and some basic maintenance work.

I'm selling the Front tube bumper with skid plate and KC lights along with the Roll bar in bed with KC lights and putting a stock front bumper on. Should get around 500 for both which would bring the cost of the truck down to 1500!!

The guy had no paperwork and had no idea if there was anything wrong with it. He never bothered to wash the outside or clean the inside so it looked rough when I picked it up. After about an hour of cleaning when I got it home it looks like a completely different truck. Plus it doesn't have a/c and there's a few problems that could possibly turn into big ones when I take it to my mechanic tomorrow. the guy got it for free from a friend so he really had nothing to lose. I thought it was worth a chance, after all it is a freaking Toyota truck and it will easily sell for 2k once I clean it up without even spending a dime.

I think you jumped the gun too soon.

Unless you were looking for a project from the beginning. Good luck with acquiring all the paperwork. That seems like it'll more of a hassle than any repairs the truck may need.

Getting a used tranny should be easy and shocks are cheap and easy. Depending on the location of the oil leak that might be easy as well.

It looks like a good platform to build on. I say sas it and get a tranny from marlin crawler and dual cases

I know nothing about you, your abilities, or what you're going to use this truck for, but if you are up for a project google "toyota 3.4 swap"

If you did any research on the year truck you bought, then you already know that the 3.0 V6 is less than stellar, and the 2 grand you are putting out already will be a good start on the 3.4 conversion.

Just a thought. If I had the time, money, space, etc, that's what I would do. I love the look of the 89-95 body style, but the later engines are leaps and bounds ahead of what you've got.

    Good luck!
