Need help finding a Tacoma

Guys,

After some time of lurking around in here I am ready to buy my Tacoma. I am looking to purchase a New 2011 black 6 speed manual 4x4 double cab with the TRD off road and JBL package installed. However, it seems that this is a very rare configuration. I've already spoken to a few dealers in the area and none of them seem to have this or can get one.

If you guys know of any dealer with this configuration please let me know.

I'll be looking into more dealer across the country to try to located this vehicle.

They don't offer the double cab 4X4 with a manual transmission and they only have 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions not a 6. You can get the access cab 4X4 with a manual. The manuals are also only available on the 4 cyl.

 

Im not positive about model year 2011, but i believe you can (or used to be able to) get a 4x4 double cab with the 4.0 and 6spd

 

Not available on the 2011, at least not according to their website.

 

Dred, its available for the 4x4 double cabs...

The ones they have are not black or not the TRD off road package.

 

the manual is a 6sp...

auto is 5 speed.

not sure but I think all TRD's are auto's.

 

I was just on toyota website and was able to build one to your specs. I work part time (not in sales) for one of the biggest toyota dealers in new england and theyre inventory is still hurting from the earthquake in japan, so you might have to shop around. Have you tried buyatoyota.com ? I think you can search dealer invertory from there.

 

Funny, you are right. I was using the Toyota configurator and that option did not appear. If I change the the zip code I was using to one that is on the east coast, the option appears. Not sure why that is other than maybe there are none close by with that option available.

 

FYI.. TRD as nothing to do with trans, except for the trd sport long bed, which only comes in auto. Whoever said that the double cab does not come in manual needs to do some HW. And the 5 speed manual is paired with the 4 cyl; the 6 speed manual with the 4.0. the auto is 5sp in both.

 

yeah... i thought this would be a common combination... i guess i was wrong. I've reached out to about 5 dealers so far. I'm in the process of creating a listing of all the dealers I can find across the country that may have it.

The 6 speed manual on a double cab with the trd off road does exist, I've come across a few...they are just not black

I asked about a manual when I bought mine a couple of weeks ago, and two different dealers looked in the system to see what was coming, and they had nothing manual at all for as far forward as the system could see. Just not big sellers anymore.

 

yeah.... I spoke to a dealer this morning and he asked "...er, you want a manual? hmmm....ok then"

Its just my preference....
