    in the planning stages...

putting in a new stereo system...
leaning toward the pioneer AVH-P3300BT or the JVC KWAVX740
then eventually throwing in new kenwood speakers all around

    and the big project...4.56 re-gearing
    assembled front by ecgs

and rear pinion and gears with kit from sierra expeditions

Nah. If I need a front locker I'm on the wrong trail. Also keeps my risk of breaking my front shafts down.

The JVC I had before I got the Kenwood ran the Ipod like an Apple 1 computer. I hope they have done upgrades. Looks good though.

    oh man...i hope so :(

the controls seem nice from when i tested it at best buy.. the album covers pop up at least...

will need to get crafty to bypass the parking brake feature for the dvd though...i've seen a youtube vid of a guy bypassing the brake feature for a pioneer h/u...i wonder if it's the same concept

did you by pass your unit so you can watch dvds and drive?

Yes mine is bypassed. It was super easy, just run the ebrake line (which is the safety switch) in with the main ground on the harness. I very rarely run the dvd player though so really it would make no difference to me if it was not bypassed. I have heard, but not sure if it was true, that companies were trying to make it more difficult to bypass the ebrake feature :notsure:

just got off the phone with ryan at ecgs...first off, great customer service so far throughout the ordering process making sure that i get exactly what i want..+1 rep for them for sure

clamshell assembly going on today and should be shipped out by tomorrow along with yukon r&p for the rear...nitro is in short supply apparently throughout the country, sierra expedition couldn't get any 4.56 nitros and ecgs said they are very long out with getting 4.56 gears...so ryan hooked me up with some yukons which will do the trick

should be arriving no later then august 2nd!

    EDIT:
gears all ready and packaged up by ecgs.
