I got some 17x9 wheels with 5" backspacing, 0 offset and mounted one on the truck to get an idea of how it'll look. After mounting, it looked pretty close to the UCA, and I thought with a tire mounted it would rub the UCA.

Is anyone running a 17x9 wheel size with 5" backspacing on their truck? Or do you think this combo would rub?

    Thanks!

Oh, and I did some searching on here before I posted this. I saw some similar threads, but none with this combo. If there is one, can you point me to it?

Yes..............and no. Depends on the tire. 275 or less should fit fine.

I don't really care that much about the tire width... just whatever is sufficient for fitting the 9 inch properly. Would 265 be too small for that width?

That depends on the specific tire. A 265/70-17 MTR Kevlar is designed for a 7-8.5" rim. The same size Fortera TripleTred is designed for a 7-9" rim.

    Thanks!

Since I haven't had the wheels mounted yet... I may just take them back.
