So we were camping up on Hood before our place was ready to move in and our 12 yo lab was in river drinking, then decided to take a dip and get swept away next thing I know I'm sprinting about 40 yards down pulling him up a 4ft bank. Crazy old dog. Think he will stick to the ocean and lakes after that.

The next night we camped on up off of Lolo Rd by the Sandy River...think that was the name. Ended up pulling a chick's Civic out of the sandy road twice. Pretty sure she was tweaking as she thought my truck was the tow truck when I came down the road. Sand was pretty soft, so her being stuck was inevitable. Was nice to use the winch though.

No he had that look on his face, it was similar to when he decided to dip his paw in a pool and feel in...just embarassed. Yeah it was a adrenaline rush, glad I didn't have to get wet though, it was pretty cold.

She offered to pay but I felt it wasn't necessary. I mainly wanted to use the winch, just got it last month.

I sure am. I'm tired of my roll up cover. It's a piece of crap that I've hated since the beginning of time. I'd like to swap it out before winter starts.

Does anyone have a spare 35x12.5R17 Good Year Wrangler MTR tire they want to sell? I ended up slicing a side wall on one of mine this weekend.

Of all people, you would puncture a kevlar sidewall. :D

The funny thing is, it was an easy section of trail. It was just a gradual climb with loose rock. I'm not even sure what I punctured it on. So now there is a 2" cut in the side wall on a tire that has no more than 5000 miles on it.

Anyone have any great places to camp? I'm looking to get away for a few days and want to go camp somewhere worthwhile. I prefer the woods or beach. It could be a campground (prefer not though). Anywhere in Washington or Northern Oregon.

Camping by the Green Peter Reservoir is fun. But that isn't in Northern Oregon. It's just outside Sweet Home. Free camp spots surrounding the lake. Better if you have a boat though. I love it there.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll keep that in mind for the future. A little far south for this trip though.

That looks like a nice area. I've been up around Silver lake. I'll take a better look into this area. Thank you.

This annoying little kid that's always riding his bike around my apartment complex rode by as I had just pulled my 4Runner out of the garage and goes "That's a nice Jeep you got there!"

Go back inside and send your hot mother out, kid.

I'd tell him he's gay for spending more than $50 on clothes in one day. :p

Good to see you on the road the other day, Zach.

I had to spend about $100 on jeans the other day. It's been 3 years; my work pairs had a little too much 'extra ventilation' and my nice set had some dust/blood I couldn't get out.
I have a doc stored on my phone with the style and size (levi's has too many numbers) so I can be in and out in 5 minutes with no dressing room hibbity bibbity.
I buy 2 to 3 pairs and I'm done for another half decade if I can help it.

Buying shirts though? Sucks. The only choices are bro, redneck, gay, tie, or golf caddy.

I've gotten pairs for $40 at the factory stores. Either in Woodburn or Lincoln City.
