Recently got into a accident with the tacoma. There was damage to the back driver side cab as well as the bed. Since the car will need to be repainted I was thinking about changing the car color but can't decide on the color. Either keep it white or paint it Silver sky metallic which comes off of the Tundra.

Insurance is going to pay for the whole truck to be repainted when the damage was only to the rear driverside? Thats would be pretty surprising.

I would keep it white, I doubt they are going to pay for the door sills and everything to be painted too, or between the cab and bed, or under the hood. I hate it when cars have been painted and they dont match.

Insurance is going to pay for the damaged sections of the car of course but I'm just going to go ahead and paint the rest of the truck since its already at the shop. The clearcoat on the roof and hood starting to go dull from oxidation.

You do not need to a re-paint to correct oxidation issues. I would highly advise against a complete re-paint that is a different color than your original color. You will lose a ton of money in value.

I say paint a color thats not traditional for a Tacoma. I mean nothing crazy like orange or yellow but something non-threatening. Either that or keep it white, haha.

I would keep it white. The cost of a well done paint job is very high. Buy yourself something nice with the money you will save.

A skilled painter can just blend the paint on the damaged areas and you wouldn't even be able to tell. Anyway keep it the same color unless you plan to remove the engine, cab, and bed and do a proper color change.

Go Black, they look sweet black, but if I had to choose between silver and white, white all the way. Way to many silver Taco's on the road IMO unless you just want to blend in...
