    Sure....during a consensual encounter. Here in AZ though, if you're driving a motorvehicle, you HAVE to provide identification. Otherwise, it's a criminal offense.

    And if I arrest a guy, I need his info to book him into jail. Otherwise, he get's booked in as "John Doe" and we have to wait til his prints come back from the FBI and we can positively ID him.

    well he was in a parking lot wandering around and someone called the cops they told him to leave multiple times but he wouldnt go so they arrested him and now they cant figure out who he is, they have posted his pic on the tv and everything and havent id'd him yet
