There are a few options, but it doesn't matter who left it. I forgive them.

2008 diagnosed stage 4 throat cancer. Doctor said I had a 50/50 chance.
Went through 35 radiation treatments and 2weeks chemotherapy in which I would probably lose my swallowing function and have to learn to swallow all over again. Each morning before I went to radiation I would ask the LORD to keep the burn from happening to my mouth and throat. To the doctors and nurses amazement the only thing I experienced a sore red mouth. 3 years later I still in remission, and gaining weight and strength.

I believed in the LORD before cancer, and I saw his mercy on myself and my wife who stood with me and prayed for me.

One llast thing I saw a loving church family that cooked, cleaned our home, and stood with my wife and I in prayer.

I had 2 acquaintance that we knew going through this at the same time and now we only have memories of them, because they did not make it.

It is sad that we sometimes have to go through something like this to really in force that there is a GOD and he loves all of us, wether we profess him or not

exactly...if that person was born in Saudi, they'd be Muslim; if they were born in Mexico, they'd be Catholic; if they were born in India, they'd be Hindu; Israel, Jewish; etc.

mormons are not Christians. They do not believe in the same Jesus Christ as Christians.
I apoligize if I was being sarcastic. I didn't mean to, just wondered who had givin you that impression.

Because my Bible is older and more accurate than theirs.:)

"A prominent scholarly view is that Mormonism is a form of Christianity, but is distinct enough from traditional Christianity so as to form a new religious tradition, much as Christianity is more than just a sect of Judaism.

How many Jesus Christ's, that have had religions based off them, "walked" the Earth?

i noted the sarcasm, but not even close on the age part:D

I was wondering this myself! So now we have multiple Jesus Christ's in addition to multiple religions so while you may believe in Jesus, it's not the "right" Jesus? :annoyed:

And people wonder why I'm an atheist.....

Congrats on remission, but are you suggesting here that God showed you special treatment because you did something different than your 2 acquaintances?

    Piece 'o cake.:D
no there is not multiple Jesus Christ's.

If you don't believe Jesus was the son of God, born of the virgin Mary, holy and pure in every way, then you don't believe in the Jesus Christ that walked the Earth several thousand years ago that the Bible speaks of.

    I quote text taken from a not-for-profit I work with that says it well;

Jesus Christ - We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth. Matt. 1:20; I Tim. 2:5-6; Acts 1:9-11

And PT, I still wonder why you're an atheist, and I believe you would be the best Christian spokesman for Christ around if you accepted Him into your heart!:D

i do believe in GOD. when i was younger i may not have gone to church every sunday. but every time i asked god to help me thru something he came thru. i had a really hard time in elementary school and middle. i got sick and stuff quite a bit. and had a few surgeries. and he helped me get thru them. when i was burn they did not know if i would live. i did not come home for like 2 months. i was in ICU and on hart monitor and oxygen for idk know how long. and i thank him every day for letting me stay on this Earth. and my cousin had leukemia at 3 y/o if i remember right. and and was in hospitals most his life till 7 i think, is when he stopped his treatment. i think he is 9 know(i don’t get to see him much. just every few years) he lives over 12 hours from me. i still wear my LiveStrong bracelet for him. and there is many other things he has helped my family out with. i will make my kids go to church more often than i ever did!

and i have absolutely not hate or anything of any kind against other Religions! i have been to church with several of my friends that are NOT Catholic! the only thing that bothers me some is when people try and force their Religion/believes a pone others. like telling someone they are going to hell because they don’t believe they same way as they do. especially when they come nock on you’r door. i don’t think that is right. i think/fill that everyone has there own right to believe the way they want to.

how do you know it exists?:p
    Wonderful testimony brother.

I quoted the above statement because I wanted to point out that you can't 'force' God into their lives. You can force attendance at church which really has no bearing on our salvation, but you can't force Jesus into their hearts.

You are a young man, and you sound wise for your years, but you will come to learn, and are already discovering that a relationship with Him is the most important.

Teach your children about God, study the Bible with them, encourage them to read the Bible, and also tell them it is a decision soley dependant on their heart on how they will live.

Then drop to your knees daily and pray for them. That is the best you can do. You will be a great father.
