Yeah. I think a lot of people forget that the best way to get ground clearance is not suspension. It's about stuffing as large a diameter tire as you possibly can.

Do you have aftermarket UCA's? I'm hoping to stop the "float" or "wandering" I have on the highway with the Light Racing UCA's I just bought.

indeed. i had good clearance over the solid axle guys on 33s, but the fj on 35s made my front diff look like it had drop bracket clearance

gotcha. well, if you ever own another db lift, my friend has a 1/4'' thick stainless skid made, andhe just slides over everything on that without hesitation. it's funny to see his tires come up off the ground every time he straddles a rock, but it's worked so far (this is not on a tacoma or fj btw)

was going to go the 35" tire route until i read Seth's MPG's even with 4.56's.
It looks awesome! but i enjoy my 17.5 mpg's w/33's
but then again....I didn't buy the FJ for MPG's :anonymous:

YFZ(whatever your real first name is) :p
UCA's should take care of your wandering on the freeway.Should be able to get a spot on allignment. Wait until you sit the stock UCA side by side with an aftermarket one. Stock's seem soo thin and weak.

    I have the BuiltRight UCA'S

I can attribute some of the wander to the fact that i recently made small adjustments to my coil overs with having another alignment done. I 'll probably get another alignment done when i go in for my free oil change

If you have aftermarket stuff installed, I highly doubt it.
