I wait until there's a sale typically. JCPenny usually does me right, but it's getting harder to find a pair of 560, or carpenters that don't look used.

I've become a fan of Carhartt. Reasonably cheap and I can't see ever wearing them out. I'll get a fat old man belly before that happens.

Anyone find old MR2's cool? (Anything but the newer spyder). I kind of miss going fast but don't want to spend the money of buying an old WRX.

16's. I already got a set of used Baja MTZs that should take care of me for a while at the rate I drive the 4Runner.

Where did you buy your tires, and did you buy a road hazard warranty for them? If you bought them at Discount Tire and paid for Certificates, that tire would be replaced for free.

You are a testament to how tough Tacomas are. I could never drive a rig as hard as you do.

I bought them from Tire Rack. I thought they were tough enough but I'm not sure they're as tough as they claim them to be. One of the tires that I received from Tire Rack already had a puncture in the side wall from shipping. They sent me a replacement free of charge. I'm going to see if my friend can get me a replacement from Discount tire but I kind of doubt it.

Eh... that's an endless debate. Pretty sure my 4Runner has stock 4.10 gears. It runs my 33s without much issue. You can definitely tell it takes a little more clutch burning time to get them rolling.

I just mean the amount of time from clutch in to clutch back out when taking off from a light.

Epic camping trip at Goose Lake WA! Plenty of torn up old roads you can get stuck and fucked on! Only a little bit of wheeling was done though but ALL the trout were caught

Got in a little trouble for "Driving in my campsite" by a forest ranger that i swear was the biggest stoner i've ever met.

Like YFZ said, that is definitely an endless debate. You could run 35's if you really wanted to, but your motor would hate it. I have owned several Toyota's, including 90's pickups and 1st and 2nd Gen Tacoma's, with tires ranging from 31's to 33's. On all of them I have ended up on 32's in the end because I didn't want to regear and that's what the motor was happiest running.

Your truck will turn 33's fine, but you will definitely notice a difference in power and MPG making that jump from 31's. I think 32's are a happy size for our trucks with stock gearing. But 33's are bigger and badder!

Zack, if you like to be quick, don't go with 33s. If styling is most important, get your 33s unless you plan to regear to get your quickness back.

You guys make me want to go find a stock yota to drive. Never been in one with tires smaller than 33". Makes me wonder how much power I've been missing all this time. I have gotten it up to 110mph, but it did take awhile haha.

Anyone from the Seattle area on here? Possibly going to be moving up there next summer. Some local insight would be great!
