i was 6'5 195 when i graduated HS. now i'm 6'5 250. 220 would be my ideal weight. It sucks getting old. I never used to have to try to stay skinny. Now that i sit on my ass all day long at work, I get fat.

Gladiator on "American Gladiators" would be a lot of fun. But I'm not ripped like them. I always wanted to be a contestant.

So, here's my progress so far... I went in to do a battery of tests this morning to see what is up. I first went in to do a whole bunch of x-rays. They put me into a whole bunch of uncomfortable positions to do them. I was almost certain that I didn't have any bone damage, but I went along with them anyway. I come to find out that the reason for the X-rays was so that the doc could see how my humerus (shoulder bone) was sitting in the socket while I was being contorted into different positions of increasing pain. It all showed that my shoulder joint was staying intact and in the correct position at all times.

We are almost certain that my labrum is torn in just one area, but did not do an MRI because that is additional unnecessary costs at this point. I go on vaca on Monday, and I am clear to do just about everything except anything where I am pulled behind the boat (skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, surfing, etc. :(). At least I can go and fish, swim, and stuff like that pain dependent. The doctor said that since I am in pretty good shape, it makes this healing process so much faster. He expects me to be at about 70% sometime in the range of 3-4 weeks, at which point I go and see him again. If I am not feeling a lot better at that point, I will have to do an MRI then. He told me that I probably won't be at 100% though until about 6 mos...

Today it kind of hurts. My dog woke me up this morning by licking my hand, and I instinctively went for a full early morning stretch... Bad idea. Definitely strained it this morning, so it's a little tender. There's the story for you all. All is not well, but things are starting to put themselves back together.

Good to hear things are look up. Take it easy on that shoulder for a while. Even if you think it is all better, give it the time to heal. You'll thank your self later on in life if you let it heal completely.

Well that sounds like good news since they aren't talking about any surgery. Hope you heal quickly.
