I was going to post in the build thread buts its only a lift. I just installed the Toytec 3" inch spacer lift with the 1.5 blocks on my new (to me) 2006 AC Sport. I Just purchased the truck, wheels and tires all at once and ran out of money to get the coilovers and shocks.

I have been viewing TW for awhile and did my research on lifts. There is some great info here! (Im still new). I really wanted to get the 5100 and coilovers because of how many threads and posts bashing and hating on the spacers. I read post after post on how "hard" and "stiff" it rides, Axle wrap, vibrations, and the list goes on... Well I just want to say that I love this lift. It rides EXTREMELY close to stock. I have the two spacers, one in the coils and one on top. Its hardly a difference driving ON ROAD. Yes, once you take off road its a little stiffer but you can not beat it for 230 bucks.

Basically I want to back the spacer lift and say how awesome it has been for the last couple thousand miles. Lift rides smooth and straight. The alignment was within spec and Boot angles are just fine. Plus I am reusing the stock shocks. I eventually would like to upgrade to the coilovers and longer rear shocks for more heavy offroad use. Right now it just gets me around with the look I want and out to the local pit to ride the dirty bike.

If you are looking for a 3 inch lift without spending alot of money and plan on driving a little offroad, I would recommend the spacer lift to anyone.

Posted a few Before and After pictures.

i've had two first gens with spacers and although I dont "wheel" as much as others claim to on the site, i dont mind the ride on-road at all either!

looks good and I'm glad you are happy with your lift! Just be warned that there are tons of people on TW who might give you crap for the spacers. But as long as you don't do any mods that might be dangerous, don't let other people ruin your contentment!;)

I believe it happens from the shock bottoming out before it hits the bumstops..therefore breaking the shock

Why not, your not pulling any components out? Your still running those same shocks and coils when you paid $30k for it.

Its your truck so you can do as you please. I have also kept hearing to stay away from spacer lifts and its good that people give advice but I dont care about the ones that talk crap about stuff. If the spacer lift works fine for you then more power to you! Truck looks great by the way!;)

How is it cheap parts? Are you saying that the stock Tacoma Shocks and Coils are cheap? I dont live out in the dessert or up in the mountains. Why spend 1500 on a lift to go down a dirt trail that a stock truck can handle just fine.
