Yeah I would much rather have the freedom to do what I want to my house. My sister is a little leery about the tree house lmao. And I have to check my territory book cos for my fire territory I think it's mine but for ems it wouldn't be. I've already had to work on my sister hopefully never again and never on the kids. That's one of the downfalls if working where you live. I have and will work on people I care about.

 

Oh and she's doing great after surgery!! Access site is all healed. NO heart medications or aspirin. All she's taking is bp med.

 

I thought about becoming an EMT - blood doesn't bother me, but broken bones bent the wrong way give me the heebie jeebies. That and I'd want to beat the s@#$ out of some sob who was drunk and caused a wreck or someone doing something stupid and hurting an innocent family

Lol yeah I've seen some horrible traumas..... Not the same as on tv and trauma death has a certain smell. If I physically bit my tongue every time I have refrained from saying stuff to drunk/high sob's I wouldn't have a tongue. Especially when I have to deal with sick/deceased children and it's the fault of the parent. It's hard enough to run those calls anyways. I HATE that part of my job.
