Susan - earlier you said you thought about becoming an EMT. Well if you had..... You could have done what I did this spring. Get to work as a rescue medic on the boat at our annual wakeboarding Masters Tournament. Basically got paid $25 hour to wear a bikini, sunbath on a boat all day, jump in the water everytime someone fell, AND enjoy this scenery for 8 hours.

I understand the need of drug testing, and we do it prior to begining employment and in incidents. But random testing here is illegal. BUT, they can drug test you for being in area and a possible witness to an incident. so usually if theres an incident, everyone in a 40 ft radius goes to pee in a cup. so they can try to get as many people as possible

 

Oddly most fire departments I've worked for don't do random drug tests. We pee in a cup for any incident with a vehicle. Like even if you hit a tree branch with the side mirror.

 

I dare you to use that pick up line next time you go out.

i cant stand working with fucking pot heads. i've left jobsites before because all the guys were smoking up.

i worked with this one guy while i was in high school (he had a work truck so i rode to work with him). the one morning i grabbed a pen to fill out my timesheet and he said to me 'oh ah you might not want to use that pen, i just snorted coke with it'
the damn pen still had coke it!

 

i just had bacon double cheese burgers for lunch

 

Worst thing about fort mac, theres a lot of money here, thus a lot of drugs

 

yup, ended up riding my bike to another guy's house every morning for a ride

 

even better, not to long after that incident the asshat went out drinking, snorted coke and then drove home. flipped his truck over a guardrail and down into a ditch. he drove that truck like that for 2 years before the engine finally gave out

 

I do understand the reasoning behind them, just don't like doing them.

They caught one guy cheating when "he" turned up pregnant He had taped a tube to his.... um, you know, and they didn't catch him then but the lab did that would have been one to explain
