rapid loud clicking, and wont start. help

    Like the title.
    Went to start it this morning, started to turn over, but then just stoped and only emits a loud rapid clicking when I turn the key to start.
    Please help.

    Battery dead? Sounds like your battery doesn't have enough juice to crank the starter.

    thats a possibillity. last night it was a little slower on the turnovers.
    Im waiting till me neigbhor who has a tow truck to walk outside to see if he can jump it.

    Def the battery... if it was slow last night and dead this morning.
    Jump it and drive it to a parts store, have them test it, load test it. If its good maybe your alternator isnt charging it. If the battery is bad buy a new one.

    I would say battery. Push start it and drive it on the freeway for a while. Charge that baby up.

    yup thats what my xploder did. advance auto installs it for free :D even disposes of the old one.

    okay well Ive got a jump on the way.
    and also a "toyota" brand battery in there with an 84 month warranty, so im going to take it straight to toyota and see what they can do.

    Why don't you just push start it? Yours is a stick, right? That way you don't have to wait.
