It's a snake ? Its not toying with it as in torturing it. I am a big animal lover but not to many like snakes. Do you let ever spider go that you see?

As far as the TV goes. Thats whats wrong with America and all the fat people that sit behind one all day.

Its not an everyday, season event like you have in your head bro. And there is no torture involved. I guess you would classify it as in cow tipping, frog giggin, etc :D Don't hate on something that you haven't tried.

I'm a wildlife biologist so you are pretty much scum to me for killing snakes for fun. But what can I expect from backwoods reds from Kentucky. Almost as bad as Tennessee.

OK so that came out a little strong. I just don't see the need in killing something just for the sake of killing it.

Don't let everyone try to get you down man, haters gonna hate. It is kind of the equivalent of spotlighting for coyotes and the like out where I live. Many people hate that we do it, but I honestly don't give a shit... It's completely legal. Killing a snake though, I believe is technically "illegal", but I don't see anyone ever getting prosecuted for it.

I love how a thread meant to talk about the ride of your lift turns into a shitstorm about you hunting snakes... But that is the TW life

Do you understand there's a huuuuge difference in "hunting" an animal and just looking for something to kill? Or in the OP's words, " toy with it, then kill it." Being from the midwest, there are alot hunters around here, but they eat what they kill, not just kill for killing's sake.

    This is getting me sad.

There really is no reason to kill another animal. For food or self defense I can see, but to do it just for fun... I think people are the only ones who kill for fun.

And yes, I will often gather a spider that I don't want in my house and let it out in the back or front yard.

As for coyotes, my four footed family member is half coyote. To be killed simply because she is coyote would be awful and break my heart.

Is there really THAT BIG of a difference? I must just fail to see it... As far as I am concerned, as long as it is legal, killing is killing, no matter what the killer plans to do with it afterwards. Poaching on the other hand is entirely different, and something I don't agree with at all.

And I have no desire to kill your dog simply because she is coyote... That is a different situation altogether. Coyotes definitely have their place in the circle of life (Lion King refernce lol). Most, if not all of my coyote hunting is for a local rancher who cannot afford to have any more sheep, pigs, and calves killed by the coyotes.

after watching tv i do enjoy and occasional run. but killing a snake for fun sounds awful. all they want is warmth. this is why society is the way it is, killing just for fun. as for the wolves comment that has no connection to humans. they do not have the capacity of sense as we humans do

Maybe if you lived around dangerous snakes, you would understand why they kill them..

If a snake gets into a human's living area, it can be relocated, not have to be killed. My friend does that for a living. She specializes in poisonous snakes.

A snake is probably more scared of a human than we are of them. Look how much bigger we are. We stand tall over them. We have arms and legs that are additional weapons. Snakes have their face and the ability to constrict.

I'm not going to wait several hours for a professional to get over to my house to remove one baby copperhead that was inches away from biting my unsuspecting nephew's foot. It was inside of the house, and don't ask me how it got in..

That is a completely different story than the OP's but I suspect you were refering to the spider comment previously. If a animal posesses a threat to me or others you better believe it will taken out and I don't mean outside. :D

Now driving down a dirt road and enjoying the sound of snake's heads popping from your tires sounds both sick and sadistic.
