I have a stock 06 tacoma trd 4X4 double cab and want to know if I got the bilstein 5100's all around with a aal, would I have to buy anything else to make this set up work fine on my truck? Do I even need the aal (if so what brand)? Any suggestions on coils? Also what tire and wheel size would work with this, I like big tires but I dont want them to rub. If you can, post pictures of yours if you have this set up. Thanks in advance.

    1. What do you plan to set your front 5100's at? (What size lift do you want)
    2. What size AAL do you want?
    3. Do you off road? How often?

I really like your truck. What did you do to yours to lift it and what size tires do you have? Do your tires rub at all, or did you have to do any trimming? I offroad sometimes but not very much.

    Front
    - 5100's set at 2.5"
    - LR UCA's

    Rear
    - 2" Toytec AAL
    - busted 5100's (over extended) Going to try out the longer 5100's

    Wheels/Tires
    - 285/65-18 Nitto Trail Grapplers
    - 18x9 XD Monsters (4.5" backspacing/-12 offset)

Yes, I had to trim some fender/plastic. Yes, I scrub body mounts at full turn in reverse, and while wheeling since I put on the UCA's. Body mount chop coming in the next week or so.

I have 2 inch wheeler's aal's and rear 5100's, the only thing i could recommend for sure would be longer u bolts, mine barely went back together.

Thanks for all that information. I want to get the bilstein 5100's all the way around for sure. But, what all do you think I would have to get if I just wanted to fit 275/65/17 and what would you set the bilstein 5100's at? Would I still have to get a aal or UCA's?

    1.75" - I wouldn't worry about UCA's.
    2.50" - I would.

Idk what would be required with a 275/65/-17. I'm too lazy to look up what size that is.

Do you know what you would set the bilsteins in the front at for it to be leveled with the back of the truck? I for sure don't want the front to be higher than the back, I dont mind it being a tad bit lower.

Will the bilstein 5100's ride rougher set at at either 0 or 1.75 or will they ride rougher at 2.5? Also if you set the bilstein 5100's at 0 will it be the same as stock height?

3" lift with adjustable shocks and AAL, TPS disabled, anytime locker mod, MOOG greasable ball joints and adjustment pins, URD M3 s/c, Pioneer nav headunit, xplod 1000w amp, 10" infinity sub, tinted windows, lightly tinted tails, color matched front grill with blacked out emblem. Do battle scars count as mods?? =D
I have the AAL and 5100's set at 1.75", my front looks like its an inch lower than my front, I have 275 65 17's and can't run with my front mudflaps until I raise my front a little more.

5100's set at 0 are stock height. I don't notice any smoother/rougher ride now, but the big tires make the truck wander a little on the road.

You can get the eibach coils and leave the 5100 at 0 . that would give you about 1.6" lift.
