4wheelparts.com & pro comp what are they thinking?!?!?

oh i did not know that one... fuck'em let them keep funding a site where people know they are total douche canoes.

 

i was told two different things when it comes to the addition of shackles. first the shop that i have been going to ok auto 4x4 they are a licensed arb dealer. they said i could add them and the bumper would take it idk about that one...

i had called arb to get the exact weight of the bumper which is 130 pounds btw. they told be the bumper was not meant or designed to have shackles put on it and that it would not take the strain this sounds about right to me seeing as it's arb they do engineer the shit out of their stuff. i would imagine if it did not come with them it's probably not a good idea to throw them on afterwards.

update: 4wp's sent me a another email today stating the bumper is being delivered tomorrow!? i was told it would even ship until monday. i bet they send me 2 out just out of sheer confusion lol. i also could not get the guy at 4wp's to comment about what exactly was being delivered to me. i had asked for the model containing the fog lights and all the assotiated hardware to complete the install.

i think it would be a miracle at this point if it's even for a toyota they will probably send me out a ford bumper or some shit

 

awaiting the arb's arrival today.

i never heard back from the gm at 4wp's regarding the model bumper and what exactly is being sent out to me. if they take care of this the right way and send me the correct parts today they will have at least in my mind turned around this situation and tried their best to satisfy me as a customer.

i could no longer speak to their awful customer service. imho it took way to much to get them to agree to send out anything and they where not really receptive to any idea to resolve the situation but, with persistence on my part i was able to get what i believe will solve the problem.

so we will see what becomes of this whole thing when the bumper arrives. all i can say is it better be the correct model with all the stuff i need to make it work.

That sucks. I wrote 4WP off when I went in there to inquire about a lift for my Tacoma along with wheels and tires. They recommended a 3" Pro-comp lift with 305/60/18s.

 

uh... wow 305's require alot of cutting and trimming even with their 4.75 " lift lol! and on 18's no less huh i would have laughed and walked out shaking my head in disbelief.

 

on an unrelated topic when the fuck is itunes going to realize that tool needs to be included in their database..

 

ok it's here and it appears to be the correct model bumper with all the trimmings.

now onto the install it does not help that it's a 105 degrees today either this is going to suck donkey balls in the galaxy of this is bullshit lol!
