I have a trip planned for the middle of September and have been putting together a list of things that I have to get done on the truck before I go. On that list is an exhaust system, as I already have an intake on it. I think I have it narrowed down much better than my normal lists. It's between a Borla or an Aero exhaust. Which on does everyone think is a better fit for me and my truck. Also I will be modifying which ever one do that the exhaust is dumped over the rear axle for when I am on the trails. Which by the way I new to do a run or ten soon I haven't been out since January.

The other option I am considering is a Banks exhaust.

Interior mods: TRD seat covers, LED map and dome lights, 2 kicker 10' w/ 500 watt amp, pioneer door speakers, and Pioneer AVIC X930BT.
I like my TRD catback exhaust..If i can do it over again, besides the TRD,i would get a magnaflo..Magna and Borla are almost similar, but Magnaflo uses less "insulation"(?) than Borla, making the sound output higher.(or so im told from a muffler shop that sells both).

I had a magna flow and have a wicked flow on now, similar but wicked flow is louder yet the magna flow had a better tone if that makes sense. I'm goin with the aero turbine in a couple weeks tho cuz it seems that muffler sounds the best on these trucks. I'll be selling my 13" wicked flow if you are interested...

The wicked flow doesn't sound bad by any means, it's VERY deep and not at all ricey or raspy...it just has one sound, no real rumble and I'm looking for a sound with a little more character I guess for lack of a better desciption haha. Will post it in the for sale section when I get my aero...

Mine came stock with borla. I've heard plenty other exhaust applications on the 1GR, borla is by FAR the best. Smooth, not loud (only when it needs to be), makes the truck sound like a damn V8 IMHO and many others.

What are you looking for out of your exhaust system?

I recently got a Borla cat-back exhaust system and I am happy with it. Unlike my Flowmaster and Magnaflow mufflers I have owned in the past on other vehicles, there is no noticeable low-end power loss with the Borla muffler. The freeway on-ramp acceleration is smoother and takes less effort (throttle) to get up to speed (~80 mph). There is very little if any cab drone and the tone from 1500-2000 rpm's sounds almost V8-ish. When you accelerate, it sounds very much like a V6, but it's not "ricey" sounding. The quality and finish of the system is fantastic. It's too soon to tell what affect it has on my gas mileage.

I'd like to toss a + in for MBRP, amazing system that looks as great as it sounds. Everyone loves the new sound of my truck...its louder but not so loud that my neighbors hate me. I can also still clearly speak on the bluetooth at highway speed without ppl hearing my exhaust.

    Worth checking out!
