it doesnt really matter but it makes 365hp, the important thing is that it makes 420 ft lbs at (corrected) 2500 rpms.

If I had the choice between a Brand New Taco with SC or a Brand New F150 EcoBoost I'd be driving the Sterling Gray Truck :D

torque is what really matters in a truck and really in cars too for the most part. Its what makes the tires spin and puts your back in the seat :)

Why the blind hatred for any non-Tacoma truck?

I drive an F-150 for work and it pulls a heavy trailer all day long with no complaints. 50,000km in 9 months and no problems so far. Still feels like new.

Hope you don,t end up being sorry like I did. I had a Tacoma and decided I wanted the new 5.0 F150 so I traded my nice tacoma for one and regretted it soon after. The V6 Tacoma gets about 3 or 4 mpg better than the F150.Thats not much considering the power the 5.0 puts out. MPGs was not a problem . Its the exterior huge size of the F150. Setting in the drivers seat with the center arm rest down the F150 is not all that much larger on the inside. If its a supercab the F150 does have more room in the rear but I never hauled anyone in the rear seat. The bed is so deep you cannot even reach over the side. I do think the quality of the F150 is good and very close to Tacoma quality if not the same. After 4 months I was offered a good buy for my F150 and sold it for $3000 less than I paid for it. Got a new Tacoma excess cab and very happy with it. It just feels more comfortable. a better fit for me. I am 6.0 ft tall and have plenty room. Much easier to back up to my trailer. All the full size trucks have become too big and bulky but a lot of people like them big.I would have saved a lot of money if I had driven a F150 for two weeks before I bought one. A 20 mile test drive is not like being in one every day. Sorta like a woman. You don,t really know what she is like until you,ve lived with her a couple weeks.

This will tell you how "domestic" your FORD is..............

    http://abcnews.go.com/WN/MadeInAmerica/page?id=13795239

I saw a guy in a new F-150 with a sticker that said "don't fly MY flag on your FOREIGN car"........ I hope I cross paths with him again.....

Sorry. I don't hate everything that's not a Taco. I just hate everything that IS a FORD!

F150- 60% American - - - Tacoma- 70% I also like the fact that the Toyota is non union made which to me means better quality. If a auto worker does poor work he can be replaced with someone who takes pride in their work which means better quality trucks. Buy the way, I worked 27 years for a union company and saw my dues promote laziness and most of the dues going to a political party.
