I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
you can just pull out the glove box but remove the hydraulic thing first. Then its just one bolt where the cover latches on.

Heres what the glove box looks like opened.
    IMG_0016_a78390fa95d0d6078cf1945aa8d6631321cdd18c.jpg

Theres a hydraulic on the right side. Your going to want to slide your hand to the left of it and push right, with a little force applied more so at the top it will pop out like so ( look at above picture, i kinda circled where it needs to pop out.)

    IMG_0019_6ccbc1ca69d3f2bdd209fe60ecbdb8ec58233e0e.jpg

once you have done this its time to pop out the glove box. Here are the tabs holding it in at the bottom:

    IMG_0020_5948f5f73f8f36e21a72c6f43fb7a7c865f1be98.jpg

Now you can just pull towards you and it will pop out but i usually hit on it with the palm of my hand while its open and it will pop out.

Now to remove the part to access all the goodies. There is a 10 mm screw holding the top cover in. Here it is:

    IMG_0021_642deb740d16ff372dfed2f41cd1582bed2a272f.jpg

Its right behind where the glove box door latches on. Remove that and pull from the back of that plastic piece downward and it will swing down and out.

Now your left with this (sorry for the quality):

    IMG_0022_6f8b0e0523f3a322e6de143aedc0d6f64257b604.jpg

Now dig around and find out that noise.

I had to go get tools, take dash apart, take pictures, put circles and stuff in on paint. Give me a break man! If someone could tell me exactly what it is that wiggles, I'd be glad to fix it and finish this and maybe make it a sticky?

I have this exact problem on my brand new 08.....if i hit the front of the passenger dash it rattles (the same part you mention). I have found that if i press down on the top of the dash up by the windshield and than hit the front, no more rattle. I am gonna have to jam some foam in there or something....if it can be fixed at all. Kind of ticks me off really

the sound is like right behind the dash where the airbag kind of is. I cleaned out my cabin air filter and everything and it still makes that annoying rattle.

while i was in there i rearranged the monster wiring harness and rapped their contact points in foam tape. Haven't driven yet though.

I had the same problem. I read it is most likely a broken plastic dash clip. I shoved a 1 or 2 inch piece of rubber tubing on the side of the dash and one between the dash and te window where the rattling was coming from. Problem solved and u can hardly notice it

there is a key hole for air bag off. that is rattle comes from. next time you get rattle noise, put your middle finger into the hole and press a bit. rattle stops. try it.
