I am a bachelor. 26 years old. I have a hard time keeping the house clean because I don't feel like doing it. Usually the only time I do a decent amount of cleaning is when I am expecting someone over. If a girl is coming, man, I feel like I am cleaning and putting stuff away for days. If you aren't planing on having company over, do you usually have a clean house?

All the time man. I can't stand a dirty house. Dishes must be done after dinner and nothing left in the sink. Usually vaccum a few times a week and dust about twice a month. Of course I'm not single and I have kids so I have lil' people to help me do some of these chores. :) But I was generally brought up clean. I can't stand a bed unmade.

I clean all the time, I swiffer dust everyday and vacuum everyday. Now that's the downstairs only.
When we bought this house the wife and I made a deal, I take care of the downstairs she takes care of the upstairs.
We have two small dogs also, that is why I do it so much.

Need another choice. I'm single with a child. She (like the cats) has an incredible talent..."oh look he just cleaned there that won't do *POOF* (serious mess) there that's better!".

Married and my wife and I have birds- so if we don't clean we end up with feathers and dander all over the place.
I'll bet when the baby shows up in a few days-that'll change.

    What's your description of CLEAN??

Clean = no clutter, everything has its place and everything is put away

Clean = Floors are scrubbed, no dust anywhere, windows are streak-free, toilets are sparkling

Ultra Clean = All of the above

My house is clean enough for us. There's only two of us.... there's always clutter that we have to clean up when visitors come. But I'll be completely honest - you will see some dust around. The windows are definately not streak free... The toilets are indeed sparkling and the floors & such are kept mopped/vacuumed.

After a while I get tired of seeing dust & such and I go on a major cleaning spree. By cleaning spree, I mean.....I'll be on my hands/knees scrubbing baseboards, wiping down the cabinets, organizing my tupperware cabinets, etc.

I moved back in w/ parents when I came back to Phoenix.

I am a clean freak, and it drives me nuts that there is clutter or mess.

some of this, a little of that
Our house is usually clean enough that someone could stop over and not think we are pigs. However if we are expecting parents or sometimes people from work there is another level of clean above that. When the serious cleaning starts I will help for most of it. That is until things start coming off of the mantle and such I will sometimes dissapear to the garage or go work in the yard.

Funny me and GF do that too. Although I was going to put a crude joke in here about how it's a mess and I need to lengthen the chain in the kitchen so she can clean the whole house instead.

Pffttt. Nuts to that. Just make sure there aren't any condoms sunny side up in the trash and you're good to go.
Although I don't know why I even bother. Her parents already know I'm pounding her so I might as well relieve them with evidence of protection. (At least that's when the cats DON'T take and hide her Birthcontrol. Fucking cats. Seriously, missing for 3 weeks now. Still no sign of it)

No, she's in no position to get preggers at this time, even though she really wants too. She's out in the oil field for 2 years. After that I'll knock her up and get her to stop yapping in my ear about it. But let it be known on an official level that I said "Let's get a dog."

Second of all, I've see the cats playing with her BC as a rattle. They put teeth marks in it and everything. Little bastards.

Seriously, one of these days I'm going to pee on them and see how they like it.
