I have a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Double cab with 40,000 miles. Recently purchased and have a transmission or differential vibration or oscellation at low rpm forward or reverse. It seems to be getting worse. Is anyone having this same exact problem? Are there any recommendations? Has there been any luck with changing out the differential fluids? Read some posts on another forum that were talked about in 2010 that appeared to be people that are having the same problem.
Really I'm looking for new information.

I will check for metallic material when I change the differential fluids. Thanks

Although, I have my doubts because the vibration is not always consistent with the movement of the truck. And it seems to occur as I'm backing out of my drive approx. 60' from parked position. I went out and tested it this morning to show my wife and while backing out approx. 60' from the parking spot as the truck was slowing the vibration occurs, I then stopped put the truck in drive as I started moving forward the vibration reoccured I did then put it in reverse started backing the vibration reoccured again- back to drive pulled forward to park and once again another vibration about 20' from my parking spot. This particular problem is most apparent while vehicle is cold. It seems to be transmission or transfer case related to me. I do believe I have 2 problems. The other one being the differential or the limited slip is too tight.

    .... T-SB-0132-08, covering Driveline Vibration Between 15 - 25 MPH on 2005-2008 my Tacomas.

If that's it, it's the transmission mount. Do a google on the TSB number and you should be able to find it...

I think this is starting to develop on my 08 Prerunner. I just noticed it about a week ago. I can make it rattle/vibrate everytime at 15mph now. I was going to have the wheels/tires rebalanced before I just read this.

I have the same issue with my 07 Taco. We've narrowed it down to the transmission mount. I have ordered one and will be replacing shortly.
