This morning I had this code come up so I searched a bit and the main thing to do was clean the MAF sensor. I have done this let it dry put it back in and the code came up again. I then cleared it with my scanguage but it still came back. I will be changing the feul pump in the morning in hopes that this will fix it. I guess the next thing is to change the O2 sensor? Anyone have any input on this or experience?

Quick question for anyone one here. I want to replace my k&N air filter but the Toyota place obviously not open right now. Are the frame filters from wal mart any good? Or what about the ones from auto stores?

Well I cleaned it again yesterday and unplugged the EFI fuse pit it all back together cleared the code and fingers crossed so far so good. I just want to get the K&N out of there. Where did you get your MAF sensor? I was gonna do the O2 sensor next but it seems the MAF is the issue.

There are a few things that can cause that code. I had an 03 celica at work with that code and it took replacing the pcv hose, doing a tune up and flushing the injectors to get the code to stop resetting. Poor fuel pressure can set that code too. So those are a few things to consider besides changing the o2 sensors. IMO if it was an o2 sensor there would likely be a code set for that too.

So you got the remanufactured one I assume? When I called about them they had a core charge and once I trade the old one you get like $50 back.

Our truck has two O2 sensors the upstream one can also cause this code. There is another code for the downstream one. I've had the lines looked at no leaks and I will flush the injectors again soon. I'm gonna run the OEM air filter the MAF was dirty from the K&N. Since the second cleaning all has been good even a lil better mpg's at full throtel and at speeds up to 75 no issued yet. Fingers still crossed.

Good I was a little eerie about buying one like that but since you have one with no troubles with yours. As I said the light has not come back on but the truck idles low when in gear not moving like around 550 rpms not sure what that is about. More research for me and money I'm sure.

well I just put in the whole thing this time around.... the first time I did it I think it called for 1/3 in oil 1/3 in intake master vac and 1/3 gas or something like that.... but since I wasnt doing oil change I just did gas.... when you had the code did your truck do something like a fart where ya couldn't get it to and fuel wasnt running right .... that code means it's running lean..... now one reason I aske if ya had checked pending "cts or something think there called" was because I cleared code and when I did a check saw the code was still pending the light didn't go back on for a bit but it came around after a bit... anyhow if goes on and off and I' ve had it....

I think when I do it I will only do the vacuum line and gas tank. When it came on it idled low and rough the poof there it was. I have never had this code before so it is all new to me. I will see how long it takes to come back on but hope it does not come on. I just got NGK platinum plugs will get wires the next day and change them soon. If the light comes on I will get a new MAF sensor.
