^One of these is usually initiated after one is hit with the unmistakeable stink of weed eminating from the vehicle, coupled with the bloodshot-eyed, panicked-looking dumbass asking you what the problem is.

You pot smoking hippies are going about this all wrong. Trying to compare pot smoking to alcohol use or caffeine and trying to say it is "safer" is not the way to go. What it comes down to is pot is a mind altering drug just like alcohol and other drugs. You shouldn't drive or operate machinery while on either.

Anti marijuana folks aren't really offering any arguments either besides "its mind altering!" and "people will drive around high!". Well people drive around tired too and that's just as dangerous. Should the federal government outlaw driving unless you get at least 8 hours of sleep?

The government can't protect you from everything. If people want to drink, or smoke ciggs or pot or do all three (not while driving or operating machinery), its not the governments place to tell you otherwise. If you dont like pot, dont smoke it. :D In my 22 years of life i've never smoked pot nor do i plan to if it ever does get legalized.

what it comes down to for me is that the government doesnt have the right to tell me what i can and cant buy whether it be pot, healthcare or light bulbs. The 10th amendment gives power to the states not given to the federal government in the constitution. Last time i checked there was no powers given to the federal gov to outlaw pot. :D

Plus it would free up alot of money that federal and state governments spend on regulating it, help create jobs for a country that's in desperate need of them right now, free up room in prisons, lesson crime, and create revenue for state and federal governments.

The guy had his hearing today, and he was on the news. The Dude asked the Judge.."Can I go home now?", and the Judge said "Only if you can come up with $12,000". Then the Dude says "Can I have some vitamins?", and the Judge says "No". Then the Dude goes "that kinda sucks".....LMAO!!!

So it's clear that without pot this guy is at imbecile level intelligence, pot didn't change that.

Poll has gone up to 66% for the YES side and 69% that don't want feds bothering the states.

Too bad politicians don't have to listen.

It seems Willie's pot problems are all legal, not side effects of pot, why should anyone care if he "feels" like quiting, or can or can't quit. I know lots of people that will never "feel" like quitting caffeine either.

Caffeine is a drug. You're in denial if you cannot admit that you're taking a drug each time you drink a cup of coffee.

"Caffeine is a bitter, white crystalline xanthine alkaloid and psychoactive stimulant"

In fact, Caffeine is a drug that causes addiction as well as withdrawal. You can also overdose on caffeine.

Marijuana is non-addictive, has no withdrawal, and is fucking impossible to overdose on.

    Edit:

This is a great documentary about Marijuana. Even if you're heavily against Marijuana, take 10 minutes to watch the beginning and see if it at all causes you to reconsider your position. A lot of great information to help combat the misinformation that soo many American's are exposed to.

You need to read more. Pot IS addictive, and has other health issues associated with its use. Read the links posted in this thread.
