Best Buy will match Amazon's prices

I went to the mall with my wife and killed some time in Best Buy. I was looking at the double din multimedia DVD with Nav units. I made the comment to an employee that these things were a lot cheaper on Amazon. He said that we match Amazon prices, I said are you sure, we went to a manager and sure enough they will.
They are also authorized dealers for Sony and Kenwood.

News to me, I've tried to get them to match other online prices to no avail. But it seems to depend on the store and who's working too. Sometimes they go by the book and other times they just want to make you happy.

 

Same here.

After some research, I also found that many of the items I was interested in were being sold in the Best Buy store for more than MSRP.

Best Buy would not match MSRP on account of it being published online.

But if you use Amazon you don't have to pay tax and alot of their items have free shipping.

 

Depends on the state, I pay tax for items on Amazon all of the time...
