I was in the same spot as you...Ditched my prerunner for the 4x fj. Night and day. Just test drive one before you get too serious though. I thought it was way different from driving the tacoma.

 

looks bad ass jonny! so sick.

i got a question though. what paint did you use to paint your bumper wings?

I am glad those guys got out to snap some pics of us.
I used rustoleum satin black. Gold can with a trigger style sprayer. Stuff is great and has held up just fine w/out using primer or adhesion promoter. Just scuffed the wings with a scotch pad, cleaned with alcohol and sprayed them. Plenty of scratches from the trails, but no chipping,fading or bubbling.

time for a snorkle. even if you never "need" it, it still looks cool as shit!

 

once i make it pass 10000 miles ill prob put one on. only have 1000 right now so im gonna keep that mod for a later date

just ordered my whole kit from fj newb for like 80 bucks. everything you need in one shot. also gonna do the locker mod today.... have you done that yet?

did mine awhile back. I did Jack's but I have no idea why i did what I did...
snipped the wire, spliced in a ground and connected both ends of the original wire + the ground wire. Jacks check engine light came on
realized what the problem was 2 minutes after it occured. pulled the wire harness and fixed the problem. (snip original wire and ground the side going into the plug *only*)

Enjoy the locker anytime mod. I use it all the time where 4wd isn't necessary but the extra traction helps + gets rid of all the traction nanny's

 

will allpro LT fit fine from my truck to the FJ?

 

It should. I would double check with All Pro though. I think the only difference is something with the Remote Res mount, but Jonny found a way around that. I didnt know you had the AP LT kit

I've been gone for a couple years. Got rid of this beauty for a 350Z. Probably the worst decision I've ever made.

 

That is a sick Subaru. I always wanted one, but I would want to rally it and I would just see way too much trouble with that.
