    Very nice!
there's always time for boat talk :)
diggin the aluminum trailer.....galvanized gets old real quick....

i could actually see myself getting a boat that style and size to start out. great for inshore, fast, but still ocean worthy as long as it's not rough.

we were actually out in the ocean on our whaler off the coast of wrightsville beach, NC in the middle of hurricane charlie back in 2004. luckily it was just my dad and i, because my brother was pretty young at that point, and my mom gets real nervous in sketchy situations.
the hurricane was supposed to hit way south, and only kick up about a 3 foot swell. turned out it it hit about 50 miles further north than expected, which was right where we were, so normal rain turned into a categorey 1 hurricane real fast. we hauled ass in as fast as we could go (probably 2 miles offshore) and luckily just as we got to the channel, they eye came, which made passage much easier and safer. got the boat tied up to the dock just as the eye passed and it got heavy again.

so that's my boston whaler/shit your pants storey. probably where most of my faith in whalers comes from. but like you said, even a boat 6 feet longer would have made a world of difference in seas like that.

That's a good looking boat  I'm sure it'll get the job done. That's the kind of boat I would recommend for what it sounds like you're looking for, Colin. Very versatile.

That's the way to go!! That's the exact engine setup we've got, too. Works great.

 Thats a hell of a story man! I can see why you like whalers now haha.

That looks like a good wakeboarding setup you've got there. Wish I still got around to wakeboarding as much as I used to.

We had this boat and the sea pro when we lived on Lake Norma in NC for 3 years.

I miss it at times but I love being back in Florida on the ocean.

aw man, i'm jealous. we were looking at the mastercraft x2 when we got this one, but my dad like to do long distance boating, and the searay burns a lot less fuel at 50 mph than the inboards.
i'm pulling the boat from VA to FL in jaunary and keeping it at my place (and using it of course) until may when he's flying down and driving the boat from miami, all of the way up the intercoastal untill he gets to annapolis, which is about an hour from our house.

the wake is no comparison though, the searay puts out nothing compared to a real wake boat. got a couple friends with malibus and nautiques, and i ride with them whenever i have the chance.

Didn't make it Autozone today. Had to clean my room out, gonna have some one check out a problem with our roof Tommorow. What should have been a 20minute drive to where I'm staying tonight was a 45 minute drive, with a matress in the bed of my truck in the rain. Damn blanding boulevard.

This morning the truck fired right up, no issues. Since then I've drove it 2 or 3 times, still firing up on the first try and acting completely normal. Maybe it was just my battery ground not being fully connected. Still plan on getting the Taco checked though, just incase. Really happy that everything was running normal today.

whenever i reffer to "my buddy with the lad rover", that's the one i'm talking about. it's well on it's way to being a great trail rig. he needs sliders, a front diff guard, some skids, and a little more flex and he'll be set.

we just put on his high clearance rear bumper and winch.
