Temporary clearance?

Hey guys,
I have a 2.5 front spacer stock rear. Stock tires right now (265/70/16).
Set ups 16x8 pro comp steelies 3.75 bs.
Problem, I got my brand new BFG 285/75/16 A/t KO's chillen in my garage. Just came in today! And my new lift. Blisten 5100's with eibtechs. Rear extented travel 5100's and 2" AAL which is on the way from toytec. Should be here friday. Well I had a flat today with my pos stock tires, So you guys think Ill be able to put 285's on intill friday when I through the new lift on? How bad would the rubbing be?

 

was it a front or rear tire that went out?

Edit: or are you talking about putting all four on?

I would buy a patch kit for a temp fix. Exact same thing happened to me LOL. A week before my Tires/wheels cam, I ran over a nail... I just put one of those hole repair things in it.

 

Ok. Nevermind. I didn't see that you have some lift up front. If you didn't have any lift in the rear, you could probably fit them in the rear for the time being. And you can probably fit the ones in the front at 2.5" for the time being. All you would need to cut is plastic.

I'd just wait and have it all done at the same time in the same shop, the complete new lift and tires. But if you need the tire back on between now and when the rest of the stuff comes, you can probably make it work with some trimming.

 

You don't have a full size spare to get you by? Patch kit if you don't have a spare.

 

This. It will be cheaper to get it all done at once, than paying for it separately. Just go get your tire plugged for now.

 

Pissing me off haha the lift is almost here the tires are here. And Its not patchable I already tried fix a flat. The tires down to wire haha

 

My spares already on the truck. when I switched rims the ripped the bead on the tire so I had to switch out

 

I think It'll just sit in the drive way for the week

Don't most tire shops fix flats for free?

 

A lot of shops won't fix it if it has very little tread left. Op said the tire was bald almost to the steel. Find a kind of ghetto shop NOT a big O big brand any big name shop and they might fix it for like 5-10$ which you probably already spent on fix a flat

 

My suggestion is to put two of the new larger tires on the rear, and use two of your smaller non-flat tires in the front for a few days. It will look bad, but it should be okay if you are just running to work. This way you wont have to worry about rubbing yet. You do have 3 remaining tires that hold air, right? lol Good luck!
