I completed my 6" lift last night....it was way out of alignment, but no issue to report. I took it to get aligned today, its in line good now, but after the alignment on the way down the road I noticed a dash light on...the one with the orange background with like the truck pictures with skid marks under it..

what happened and what do I need to do now to get it to go off?

that's the VSC light. probably need to take it to get re-zeroed after the lift, unless something else is broken.

if that's the only light on, i would point to the recal. if other lights are on as well, then i'd look at something being broken during the alignment. the alignment could have pushed the VSC past it's "tipping point" to where it is always activated and wont change until the recal. hard to say for sure b/c VSC issues seem to be hit and miss w/ the trucks and lifts.

is the abs light on too? Maybe the wheel sensor wasnt taken loose when the lift was done and it broke the wires inside.

i did that once in a hurry to put my lift in. its easy to splice the 2 wires back together and good as new...

there shouldnt be any wires broken...Did the lift myself. I did not pay attention to notice if the ABS light was on as well...I didnt recall it being on...but I will have to look after work.

it wont look broken since the wires are inside a rubber hose

alrighty...I noticed on the way home that after the truck is off that the light goes off...It doesnt come back on until you get going down the road for a minute...only the skid looking one comes on...it stays lit til you turn the truck off again...there are no other lights on...no abs or anything like that.

alright i went and did the paperclip / wire method...It kind of looked different than the instructions said, but i did it, and then went for a drive...the light never came on after that...so I am guessing I zero'd it out. woot

I changed my UCA's this weekend and we eyeballed the alignment. While adjusting the wheels, the steering wheel ended up about 35` out from being straight. My VSC light came on everytime I drove it until I went and got it officially aligned. I figured the truck didn't like to think it was turning but actually going straight.

May be late lol ... that is a yaw calibration, apperantley isn't a permanent fix with our trucks ... so have a switch to turn of traction control/abs

... how do you like your procomp lift btw?
