Yes it's an STi. No, not really planning to do anything to it. It's fast as hell already and I much prefer the stock STi appearance to any of the modifications I have seen.

    Ok stupid newb question...

If I only want onboard air to inflate my tires on a trail after I air down why can't u just buy that $35 portable aircompressor at Costco and plug it into my bed inverter? The only other thing I can think of needing on board air for would be a front locker??? And I'm not busting out that kinda cash right now.

Because nothing is more legit than having an air tank and a compressor or two permanently installed on your rig? :anonymous:

Okay, well how bout this. What if I bought THIS, how hard would it be to make that also be OBA? Like...a two-in-one function..for the horns, but then also have it be so I can plug in an air hose and air up tires, or use power tools etc..is this even possible? What would I need to do

The duty cycle and CFM of the compressor will determine if it's capable of filling up tires. I highly doubt a compressor and tank designed to run air horns could handle filling up tires.

Check out the CFM and duty cycles on the systems here...

#1 - check to see if the bed inverter will handle the compressor. The inverter doesn't support many watts.

#2 - that compressor will most likely take a billion years to finish a tire, and the duty cycle will be low enough that you probably will have to shut down and let it sit between tires.... just guessing.

For an inexpensive compressor, try to find a Q-Industries MV50 ($30) or MV90 ($130 or so). They are both favored by the offroad community.

    same shit as everyone else

Not sure what the brand was but it was for automotive uses. It could use either a 120V source or a 12V source in a car. It didn't have an ampage rating on the box but its specifically designed to inflate tires up to 120 PSI. I think I'm going to pick it up next time i'm there. I take a small tool set I made with me when I'm camping/exploring and have never needed a impact set. A large pipe will get a bolt off just fine ;) I need to start thinking about weight. Tim's sliders are going to weigh a ton...

I really think you'll be happier with an MV50, but it's your choice

So, I just looked at that pic again and I think I may have to name my truck Flintstone because of it lol.

Probably going to end up going with a stock clutch now. When I was looking at Marlin's prices I forgot about the drop down menu and it turns out the clutch kit for my model is more expensive than what I thought.

Where did you get your Icon coilovers? I keep seeing the extending travel for sale, but I can't find them with reservoirs. Starting to get LT kit priced out. I should have the money by the end of next spring, but I haven't pulled any student loans yet...

I'm thinking Camburg. I trust and like the looks of the boxed arms much more than TC's tube stuff. Seeing as I've cracked the stock LCA's beef is what matters right now.

I was wondering if you had a special set. I'm perfectly willing to shell out a little extra for the resi's.

Roof rack? I would only install it while I was using it. Wouldn't need any extra noise or weight on this car. It's already like driving a bare bones race car

Possibly true. I've owned a tuned WRX and a 350Z before and this car scares the shit out of me still. I've been staying out of boost for the most part until I get my valve cover gasket leak fixed. And I also still need to talk to Surgeline Tuning to make sure that the tune it has is a proper stage 2 tune.

However, the couple times I have put my foot all the way into boost... to say it moves quickly is an understatement. And the tires it has on it would rather snap suspension components than let go of the road.
