You joke about that but at work yesterday we were just talking about making an automated vehical defense system involving mini-guns and the voice from ED-209 in the first RoboCop movie.

But in all reality, I could probably make something work, maybe not guns, but something equally devistating and maniacle. Maybe something for Cat protection (because assholes are always stealing them) involving pneumatic actuaters or small explosive propellant pushing blades/bolts for maximum damage.
Then it would be easy to actually turn your vehicle into an electric chair without causing damage to the electronics of your vehicle. Microfiliment metal fibers that can handle large voltage current loads woven into things like your seat and stearing wheel threads. LoL

LoL No, I dont actually sit around and think of this stuff, it just kinda comes to me as needed!!! HAHAHA

Yea, I have no artistic ability what so ever. I can fuck up drawing a stick figure and I sing so bad its not even funny. I dont "see" most art (to me it jsut looks like paint a 3 year old did). But need something taken apart, improved, or fixed and I am the guy you call, beauty to me are things like Ducati motorcycles, mechanical gizmos, stuff like that. I know, I am a geek!!! LoL

I need to talk to you about a project a friend and I have been working on. We have a big paintball scenario event coming up, and we want a diffusable "bomb" that one team can plant in key areas and the other team has to "disarm" before a timer and alarm goes off. No explosives, just a loud siren.

Here's what we have brainstormed so far:
    • We want a timer mechanism that triggers a loud siren (like a couple smoke detectors, a disassembled bullhorn, etc)
    • This timer would need to be mounted in a tough box of some sort, like a lockable ammo can, to protect it from dropping and the weather.
    • To arm it, we want it to "alarm" for 5 seconds when the countdown starts, to alert the other team that it's planted and time to go after it
    • The disarm process needs to be relatively challenging, such as a couple padlocks with the combo written right on them so it takes a little bit of time to get in the box. This part is easy. What would be even sweeter is a keypad with a long combination also inside that would be required to disarm it once inside the box
We have no issues building the box, and I even have a simple device that uses a kitchen timer and when the timer sounds off, it triggers a disassembled smoke alarm to go off. It's simple and would get the job done, but we want something a little more upgraded to make the scenario that much more realistic.

Any thoughts or resources? If we could get a good timer and loud alarm set up that is programmable, it would be a huge win for what we're trying to do.

Next project would be simple claymore-type devices set up on trip lines that either trigger an audible alarm, powder discharge, or something similar. Want to keep it safe obviously. And cheap.

^Id be carfeul going too realistic though. You dont want to get pulled over and have the bomb squad called on the way to the event lol. That sounds really cool though

The Taliban make shit like that everyday. Mortar tubes on timers so they can set it and forget it. Instead of hooking a timer to a mortar, you hook it up to the siren. It's very simple...I mean DUH the Afghans do it...even they don't go FULL RETARD.

Absolutely. I played that game religiously for 9 years. We are also going to be doing VIP and hostage rescue scenarios. Our VIP will have no gun but will be able to take multiple hits before being considered "dead" to simulate having a kevlar vest on. Hostages would die in one hit. I really want this bomb thing to be done to complete the entire package.

Yeah, I'm pretty worried about that. That's why I'm having someone else transport it LOL

Actually I haven't joined, just read one or two threads on it a couple weeks ago. I suppose I should go check it out.
