I saw that link. I am hoping to "have to" sell my 2xCab for my mom's neighbor's ultra-clean '97 FZJ-80 too. I just haven't talked them into selling yet.

Sorry for the lack of updates, guys! Been busy with life, and all that it entails...

I decided to keep the truck, as the FJ80 I was looking at just wasn't up to par. However, if the RIGHT FJ80 comes around, I'd still be interested.

I've gotten some more done on the rack. Mainly the bed sliders and hi-lift mount. I've been using the rack quite a bit on the weekends, and it's holding up well.

    Here are a couple pics:

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics... I'll go out here in a bit and get some real pics that aren't taken in my driveway. Lol

Since those pics, I've installed a set of AllPro Expedition Rear Springs. They were a must after adding the extra weight to the back of the truck. It rides/feels 100x better with the Expedition springs. Rides MUCH better too!

Awesome job. I'm jealous. I am in the slow progress off building one myself.

That is only one of the great aspects of the RTTs. I can't begin to tell you how much easier mine has made camping. And we have only had ours a year!

The more I look at your rack, the more I want to redo mine. I would like to have some protection for the bed though.

Went out and took some more pics. It's a good thing too, because I noticed that my rear passenger axle seal started leaking... Had I not went out and walked around the truck like that, I would've just hopped in tomorrow morning and took off for work.

Here's one looking through the passenger mirror:

After looking at these pics, I think it's time to upgrade from 285/75/16s to 315/75/16s.

What do you guys think about that?

Also, I don't think I've posted these renderings that show the roof rack design I'm working on... Not complete or anything, but it gives you the idea.

I've been trying to figure out where I've seen this rack before lol. And it just hit me Central Overland. Excellent build up man. Great design. It reminds me of All-pro's bed rack, but way better lol.

Any chance of getting the lengths of tubing used for the hoops and the angles? Steel should be here soon!
