I don't think you would have an issue with TC shackles they look like they have been designed pretty well.

i'm sure the shackels would be one of the strongest things on the truck lol. i just get paranoid, and overbuild things. it's more the bolts that i'm worried about. most companies have some sort of brace in the middle that keep the two sides from creating a shearing action.
but again, just paranoia

yes they would. i'm waiting to order them untill i get new lower control arms though since as far as i know, you have to cut the spindle that goes throught he bushing to get them completely off.

i'm not entirely sure why it goes around the bottom of the spring...maybe to prevent the shackle from overextending and flipping forward?

They can just not enough... I make decent money at my job its just a $360 truck payment $240 insurance $50 phone take a toll on a person and add rent of a one bedroom (unless one of my friends can move in and help in a 2 b/r) I will be paying atleast $500-600 in rent so I'd be eating ramon everynight and that gets old man. I want money to set aside and do things with. So its either older yota or jeep xj. I just need something that will get me from a-b and 4x4 .

I've got a friend that got a XJ for dirt cheap and made it into good trail jeep and will eventually turning it in a DD.

 

I hear that. My brother had one that was awesome dark green 4 liter ran that bitch 3 quarts low on oil and didnt stop. My dad was pissed when we did the oil change though!
