Nice vid. Could you post a vid of the speedo during a 0-70 sprint? I'd like to time it...

I'll try after I get back from a trip. I don't think the 0-60 will be any more use than as a reference, though... my access cab, sliders, brushguard, hi-lift, skid plates, all add significant weight over your prerunner, which I just realized has lots of crap on it itself.

If you want this for banging around in the desert, I wouldn't hesitate to get the kit. You'll get v6 power with your reg cab chassis, that'd be great.

Honestly have no clue. A million times faster than before, that's for sure.

I mean, I'll get a video probably the weekend after this. But it shouldn't really matter, because here's the deal: This is the best supercharger kit for these trucks. It is awesome and doesn't have a janky setup with pipes under the frame. There isn't a serious kit to compare it to, so if you want go-faster bits for your truck, this is it. :D

But also, if you guys have a different setup than me, the weight will be significantly different, especially going from a 4x4 to a 5-lug, plus dropping all my armor and so forth.

I'll get the numbers, but I wouldn't put too much stock in them as a reflection of what say a reg cab 5 lug would get, because I'm sure that guy would be much much faster.

I want those numbers because I want to know how quickly the truck can get up to speed to hit jumps over dunes

In other words, How much runway would I need to take off. [IMG]

A top gear 40-70 run would be nice too.

Out of curiosity Gadget, suppose one already owned a C30-94 supercharger, would you sell the kit minus only the SC itself, and what would that cost?

Oh, and I like how your website says you designed it exactly how the Alpine people didn't. ;)

Yes, we can accommodate you on that. Looking about about $900 off the kit price.

If you need a different size pulley you will need to purchase that also.

What size is your current pulley?

I would for you guys to test it out first and let me know how it works! With my luck I would spend 5k just to blow up my engine or something ridiculous. Not knocking the product just my luck thats all.

Yeah, I'm about to drive downtown actually, so I'll try to snag a good video of accelerating on the highway of the speedometer and tach.

There's no way you'll fit lights behind the grill, the intercooler takes up all room. It's nice and big that way.

Also, another note: I just computed my mpg, it was 18.2 in-city (not highway.) So I'd venture out and say that I haven't noticed an mpg change nor have I really changed my driving habits, so there you go.

It does let me shift earlier without lugging, though. I dont' know if this is the tune, the blower itself, or unclogging my catalytic converters, but I can get a little power south of 2k now, whereas before I'd just lug like mad. (A little, not a whole lot.) I may try shifting sooner to see if I can get the mpg.

    Regardless, good buy!

Last comment: My MPG has been improving this week. I think the slight loss I attributed to the blower was really the heat, and by that I mean, running my AC on full blast constantly with a heat index of 106.

Derp. I sent the truck away in April and got it back in July. The 1 or so mpg difference, I'm now calling loss due to using the AC, because it looks I'll be back to what I used to get this next tank with this cold spell in the weather. (19-20)

So, FWIW, I was wrong about any potential to increase highway mileage, but, if you can drive efficiently, you shouldn't notice much, if any, of an MPG decrease. If you drive like an asshat, of course you might as well dump gas out the window. All that being said, premium gas does of course add another few bucks a tank by itself.
