$1,964.35 for a semesters worth of books?!

ya dude books suck mechanical engineering books arent cheep. especially when your paying for them out of pocket no loans or nothing, just means toyota upgrades gotta wait

 

The kick-backs universities/colleges/profs receive from textbook publishers/distributors has been a problem forever... many articles written on the subject.

$2K on textbooks! Wow.

Yeah, books aren't cheap. I remember my first year of my physics major I think I paid close to $3,000 on books alone. And then there were the additional fees of lab coats and such. The only good thing about it was I was able to use some of the books again for other classes down the road.

 

Right now my book bill is hovering around the 1 grand mark, but mostly I'm paying for the software that's required for the class.

which is the reason why I am using the shit out of tuition assistance(thank you navy!)...only thing i've had to pay for to finish my associate's degree was books. already startedon my bachelors and i've only been active duty for 6 years.

 

Hopefully, you can sell them back at some point...

 

I use bigwords.com. have used it for 3 years now and have never spent more than 400 for an entire semester worth of books. saves me well over 500 bucks if not more now that i am in upper level courses

 

x2 on Chegg! They're really good and I never got hit with any obscure fees or anything. Saved a ton of money.
